An established author, Stephanie wants to offer authors the support she has discovered during her writing journey. She found that beta reading was the hardest part of her author journey to solve. It was dependent on many factors, most of which an indie author couldn’t control, and few people offer it as a service. Taking a page out of her author experience, she set out to offer the service through Bitch’n Books Editorial. Stephanie has a love for blurbs and creating eye-catching descriptions to draw your readers in. Along with beta reading and blurb creation, Stephanie also has experience with motivational editing and proofreading.
Based in Amsterdam with her husband, Stephanie spends her days immersed in the world of technology at her day job. In her spare time, you can find her planning her next travel adventure, going to Barre classes, and writing the next story in her intense publishing schedule.
Motivational Editing
Motivational Editing is a special service for those authors who are stuck in a rut. Maybe you have been working on your manuscript for a while and you need an outsider’s perspective? Maybe you have let your manuscript sit for a bit and need the motivation to get back into it? Whatever it is that has you hesitating to pick up the pen (or get out the laptop), I want to help motivate you to get back into the right headspace. I will read your manuscript and let you know what I love and what I think could use a bit of work. By the end, you will be ready to jump back into your work!

Developmental Editing
Developmental editing begins after your second or third draft. I will work with you to make sure that the plot and characters are developed well and maintain their integrity throughout your work. I will make sure that the story flows well, makes sense, and give ideas and suggestions on how overall improvements can be made. Any plot holes or inconsistencies will be documented with ideas on how to fix them. This service includes a marked document with comments, an accompanying report, and a thirty minute check in call for any questions you might have after reviewing the edit.

Proofreading
I will make sure that everything is in tip-top shape for publication. I will read through and make sure that all the grammar, punctuation, and spelling is correct and ready for print. Starting price is based on receiving a manuscript previously edited by a third party. This includes a marked document with comments.

Beta Reading
During a beta read, my focus remains on the reader experience. I leverage my author expertise when I need to offer feedback. I'll review your manuscript with a pair of fresh eyes. Being a published fantasy author myself, I understand the pacing, plot, and character requirements in our genre. Because of this, I'm also your target audience and will be able to give ideas of where your story has emotional impact, as well as parts that could be confusing and alternatives on how to rectify that. This service is best used after Alpha reading but before Copy or Line edits.
